Located in the South- East of Spain, in the Region of Murcia, and approximately 15 minutes drive away from La Manga and Cartagena, La Manga Club offers everything you need. Above all, we have the best weather here in Spain, with an average temperature of 22 degrees, and more than 300 days of sunshine every year.
After a long day on the golf course, you will probably fancy a bite to eat. Check out La Manga Club’s 15 restaurants and bars for something that gets your appetite going. Las Lomas Village is located just 1.5 km from the hotel, within the sports and leisure resort of La Manga Club, in Murcia, southern Spain. Located 25 km from Murcia San Javier Airport (approximately 20 minutes by car) and 100 km from Alicante Airport (approximately one hour by car).
Las Lomas Village consists of tastefully furnished apartments and townhouses and the village enjoys its own reception, luxury spa and wellness centre, and two outdoor pools. There are 4 restaurants located within Las Lomas Village and a further 10 within the hotel / around the resort.
There are three brilliant courses, with slightly different styles. The North and South golf courses at La Manga’s award-winning resort have been established since they were designed by Robert Putman in the 1970s. The West course was added in 1996, meaning that visitors to La Manga have had a choice of courses for over 20 years.
The South course is the longest course by a distance, and perhaps the most challenging. Out of its 18 holes, 15 of them contain a water hazard. Regularly finding a way to drive between lakes and bunkers is crucial to success here.
The North course is considerably shorter than the South, but not necessarily easy. Although there are fewer bunkers and ravines in the way, a stiff breeze can often make low scores tricky to come by. Some straighter, shorter holes perhaps make the North course more amateur-friendly. The 18th consists of a pleasant walk back towards the clubhouse, with the hotel pool in view.
The newer West course shows some clear differences between the front and back nine. Players begin by navigating their way through a hilly front nine, made tough by imposing pine trees which line the fairways. From the 10th hole onwards, elevation rises and players are on top of the hills. Often considered a tough course, but perhaps the most rewarding in La Manga, the West course comes to its conclusion with a breathtaking view from the 18th tee. Driving the tee shot into a view consisting of La Manga complex in the foreground, and mountains in the background, is a sight not often forgotten by any golfer.
