The Real Club Valderrama is one of the best known golf clubs in Europe It is located in the resort of Sotogrande, San Roque in the Andalusia region of southern Spain, a few miles from Gibraltar, and has a single 18-hole course, along with a 9-hole par 3 course. Valderrama was constructed in 1974 as “Sotogrande New,” to the designs of leading American golf course architect Robert Trent Jones. Renamed The golf course was redesigned and expanded by the original architect and became “Valderrama.” By 1999, Valderrama was rated the top course in mainland Europe by Golf World magazine. The practice ground was called the best in Europe by Nick Faldo. The fourth hole, La Cascada, is the course’s signature hole. It is a par 5 with a pond to the right of the two-tiered green.

Golf La Reserva – Sotogrande is a magnificent 18-hole golf course in Andalusia designed by Cabell B. Robinson, offering a spectacular round running between lakes and trees. La Reserva de Sotogrande Golf Club lies in a beautiful natural setting in the upper part of Sotogrande. Bordered by one of the most exclusive and best managed golf courses in Spain, its commanding position offers spectacular views of the Mediterranean and one of the best golf courses in Europe. The golf course opened in August 2003 and is now considered to be one of the best in Spain. The building covers almost 6000 sq.m on the top of a hill from where you get great views of the Reserva de Sotogrande Golf Course.
Founded in 1964, Real Club de Golf Sotogrande is located on prime golfing land close to the beachfront between the river Guadiaro and Sotogrande marina in Andalusia. RCG Sotogrande is often voted to be among the top ten golf courses in Europe. “Sotogrande Old”, as it is called by the locals, boasts mature vegetation with pine, cork oaks, eucalyptus and giant palm trees enhancing the natural beauty of the surroundings.
The greens are large and the tees are very long, some would say excessively so, but they allow for variations in pin placement and the length of hole. The contours of the greens are typical Trent Jones and the bunkers were the first in Europe to be filled with brilliant white crushed marble.
Very near the Mediterranean Sea and in a privileged area of Andalusia , Finca Cortesin has become a reference in the world of the golf. At almost 7,000 meters from the back tees it is considered one of the longest courses in Europe. The natural environment and landscape of Cortesin are one of it’s most attractive features. Finca Cortesin Golf Club has 18 holes designed by Cabell Robinson, a length of 6800 meters and more than 100 bunkers. It is considered one of the best golf courses in Spain. The privileged location of the layout will make the player enjoy wonderful views of the Mediterranean sea and mountains.
